Battery light

For the past few days the battery light has been on in my 94 drw f-350 /460 with and auto. I have cleaned the battery cables and no change occurred. What could be the problem, the battery and alternator are both less than a year old. It has been in the low 20s and the truck has been started probably 30 times and it is still starting. What could be wrong. thanks

I would check and clean the battery cables connections at solenoid and engine ground. Also check the plugs and the stud bolt on the Alternator and make sure they are making a good connection.

Then if light is still on take the alternator to Autozone (or other auto parts store) and have it tested.

I just went through this,this morning.Same symtoms,amp gauge said it was charging but batt light was on,this is diodes in built in volt reg. Replaced alt (72.00) all is good now.Hope this helps

I'd make sure to check the harness on the back just from wiggle'n it to unhook it can enlarge the terminals and let corrosion in, i had a pain of a time with this anyway
