re-jetting a atv question
This is my buddies quad, he took it to Moab Utah 2 years ago and it was having alot of trouble staying running. I'm sure it was due to the elevation 4,200'+. We live just above sea level around home.
My question is how do I choose the correct jet(s) for the increase in altitude? Should we just get a hand full and keep swapping them till we get one that runs good?

I don't know about the specific sizes of your jets, but i'll tell you what I do with my bike.
For sea level running I'll use a 126 and a 130
for about 3500 ft I'll use a 124 and a 128
When I ride at about 7000 - 8000 ft I'll use a 122 and a 126. Once I tried a 120 and a 124 and it was a little lean there.
The bike seems to run at its best with the mentioned jets for the elevation. Most of the time I keep the richer jets in since I ride at Pismo and Oregon dunes a lot, which is sea level. Then when I go to Sand Mountain or some of the trails in the sierras I'll put the leaner ones in because of the elevation.
