Well I did it! It only took 6hrs but I did it! I wanna thank all the guys that have put posts and how -to's on this site. I know that I would have been lost without the help from this site. The plugs that where in my 99 F250 SD where original. (154K) What was ford thinking when they put those plugs in? My question for you guys is what would cause the ground bar (if thats what it is called) to go white and chaulky? Some of my plugs were a little oily lookin but the most of them were chaulky?
Thx again for all the great posts!!!!!!
Wife callen for supper, then i gunna take my green monster out and find a Dodge to feed to this BIG HUNGRY V/10....
A Chalky plug is a lean condition.Did you write down what cylinders had the chalky condition ? Were they next to each other? got any pics of the plugs we could look at?
could be a slight head gasket leak between cylinders.
You might need some injector cleaner run through it.
Also might think about the fuel filter.
If its running rough ,you may still have some problems.
