What is the reason the 6-speed transmission will not bolt up to the stock 80's f-250 transfer case? And if it doesn't match up, has anybody thought about fabbing up an adaptor of some sort? I myself would be willing to buy one.
The output shaft is bigger and has more splines on it.
You just use the six speed transfer case to do the install.
The problem is you also loose your speedometer since the trucks with the six speed had rear axle mounted speedo pickups and the older ones were driven off the transfer case.
