93 E150 lighting problem
1. Turn signals do not work
2. Cruise Control does not work
3. Horn does not work
4. Parking lights do not work
5. Tail lights do not work
6. Dash lights do not work
7. Radio light works until headlight switch is pulled on
8. Fuse #4 keps blowing (20A)
On the bright side:
1. Headlights work including high beams
2. Brake lights and backup lights work
3. Wipers work including intermittent
4. All gauges work
Could this all be tied to the turn signal switch. If so, how do you get to it? Wife seems to think she saw smoke come from the steering column.
At first, the shortcut on the fuse #4 should be eliminated, and check then what works, what does not, and what interferes with one another.
if operation of one electrical device interferes with another, ("Radio light works until headlight switch is pulled on"), this usually happens when those 2 are connected to the same ground wire and it is loose (not connected or poorly connected to the body).
