Recently bought a Diablo Predator for my 1999.5 7.3 PS - Upon trying to load a tune it told me there was an existing tune. Long story short - called Diablo - got work around for a possible previous tune by loading default tune. Now regardless of tune or not the (H20 in fuel) light stays on. I have flashed and reflashed with no change. question is: A) is this a glitch or is it harmful? B) is there anyone out there like RTtuner that makes a laptop program where I can reflash the truck myself since dealers want $80+. C) where could I get the default flash code from if available?
anyone have similar problems with the DP? or is it just because I took a failsafe load from the DP(since I bought the truck used and didn't have a way to get the prev. tune out) any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The light is telling you there is water in your fuel filter/water separator. Drain the filter and i bet your light goes away. That light has nothing to do with programming.
Have you checked your ECM for a chip? Might already be one there.. Its located down under and behind the E brake assembly.
Drained the bowl when the light first came on - did not go away. The light only came on once I installed the failsafe Diablo program. I will check the ECM for a chip though.. did not think of that. Thanks.
