changing axle gears
Hello,just wondering- I'm converting my 1994 F-150 2wd truck to 4wd and one of the things i'm putting in it is a solid front axle from a 1978 F-150 4x4.
But the rear end in my truck has 3.08 gear ratio and the front solid axle out of the 78 F-150 has 3.50. is it possible to change these gears out to a different ratio to match the rear end in my truck? If it is, what do i all need for parts to do this? Is it even possible to get parts for these axles anymore?
