First Stuck
Took my '67 out this afternoon to test things out. Discovered a few things. Need to fix front driveshaft angle situation. Think I will have to do the gay thing and put a body lift on my truck so I can level out my engine. Right now it is angled a lil bit cuz the tranny/tcase won't clear the 2wd floor-pan. Once the engine is sitting level I should be able to run a hi-pinion front and be good on my angles. Second thing I discoverd, need to weld my rear spider gears, cuz I wouldn't have been stuck if they were welded. Dropped my front driver side tire thru some deep snow and there I sat, front diff was almost burried and rear passneger side tire spun and front drivers side spun.

OH ya, was only a few miles from home. No stock vehicle would have made it to where I was to pull me out. Brother was sure to bring his digital camera along to get pics of the ordeal! LOL

got my samurai stuck yesterday, I uh, had to test out the carburator rebuild, it ran great but the tires are still the limiting factor no pics though.

It's when you do it cause you're cheap that its ghey. It's even ok to do a body lift once you've done 6" of suspension lift. At that point just raising the body keeps your COG lower, and your components are still tucked up away from obstacles nicely. At least, that's how I see it.

i would go with as little of a body lift as possible, i ran a 1.5" at one time, i went aorund and collected leftover pucks from people doing 3" body lifts and once i got enough...cut them in half and bought bolts...it was hardly noticable, but gave alot of extra clearance
