I can't afford much right now, transmision i'm buying is pushin my budget, and i'm going to be working to get the engine/tranny in there. I may just have to use what i have at the moment.......unless i can get a cheap set of heads that are in good shape....

I see no reason for a need to change something - hey if it works and runs well than by all means leave it alone. It'll have pleanty of power as is. Make sure your tranny and other stuff are all set before putting money into upgrading the engine. Degree wheels are pretty cheap, summit/jegs probably has them.

The smallblock ford heads are very restrictive, especially the exhaust ports. If you can do some porting and open up the ports it will help build some power. You don't have to go crazy just match the opening to a header gasket outline and smooth out all the bumps on the top side of the ports.Headers and free flowing exhaust will also help greatly. The performer is basically just an aluminium stock intake. The rpm or stealth would be much better choices...It would really help to know what cam you have.Numbers are often stamped in either end of the cam but it depends on manufacturer.
