I am usually a cheap guy. always getting what is frugal or cost effective. Well I just broke that rule an picked a year old marshall jcm2000 dsl100 with cabinet. I have not played it yet but will surprise my band with it this weekend. those guys already think that I play too loud. this thing will rock the whole house down.
Anyone have one of these monsters of rock and roll. It should sound great with my gibson sg. angus angus angus.
It is the only good news that i have to share. you guys dont want to hear about root canals and the such
I have the JCM 2000 DSL-50. I gigged with it for almost 3 years with no problems. Plenty of great tones in that amp. Gain 2 is a Slayer replica. I play metal and it sounds great for that kind of stuff. The clean channel pushed is great for AC/DC type tones as well. Just remember, because it's a tube amp...crank the sheet outta that sucker!
No offense, but it's a good thing we have the internet and the written word. There's a majority of youngsters who are going to be much harder of hearing than I am, when they reach my age, unless some restraint is used in pouring music and other loud noises into their heads. This in reference to "It'll make your ears bleed."
By the way.. I'm glad you got a good sound system. Always good to know that someone is using something in a positive manner to better themselves or to have good clean fun. Take as much care of what you have now, because when it's gone, it's gone for good. At least unless you can afford an ear transplant.
