Code Scanners

I'm thinking of buying a code reader, and so far it seems all I can find are tunners that read codes also. I already have a chip so I'm looking for just a code reader. Is there just code readers? if so where can I look them up, and any recomendations would be helpful.

Thanks
Rich

AutoEnginuity from ITPdiesel. Do you have a laptop computer? They make a device that plugs into the OBD II port under the dash and can read every code, delete any codes, monitor in real time the sensors in the motor, and can data log any sensor in the motor. If you don't have a laptop, they make a palm pilot version and I think a cheap palm is about fifty bucks. Laptop would be best for monitoring a lot of gauges at once though...

A code reader for the PSd need to have the enhanced Ford codes for some reason. I have an Actron 9135 and AutoXray 2000 and both will not read codes. Autoenginuity is the way to go.
