noise from drivetrain

noise from drivetrain
I have a 1997 F-150 4.6l auto 4x4 and i have had this strange honk is what it sounds like. My dad is a mechanic and says it is just the leaf springs making noise. When I put it in 4h the clunk is almost not even there. Could it be that the slip yoke needs to be greased?

Either slip yoke or you keep running over geese. 
Funny how things happen in groups....I just had my greased up for the same noise. It does kinda sound like a honk.

thanks guys i'll have it greased on my next oil change possibly or else on Friday. If my dads shop has time to grease it.
