Question Won't Start

Hello,

I have a 2000 Ford F150, 5.4! Replaced valve cover on passanger side due to bad oil leak. Now the truck won't start! It turns over fine, but nothing else! Any ideas on where I should start looking for the problem?

Did you get it figured out yet?
Is the wire to the crankshaft position sensor plugged in?

I have not solved the problem yet! If that is the sencor at the front of the head next to the valve cover, yes, it is connected.

New set of problems!

Okay, here is my problem. Short in wiring to crankshaft sensor, COP bad, and coolant in #6 cylinder! How can I remove the coolant without tearing down the engine? Is it possible?

You shouldbe able to pull the plug from cylinder #6, turn the car over afew times, and that should clear the coolant. This of course won't solve the problem of how the coolant got in there in the first place.

Coolant in the cylinder...if I am not mistaken, is a head gasket problem.

Depends if the coolant was inside the cylinder or if it was just in the plugwell.

If the plugwell, an external leak.

If inside the actual cylinder, well......
