Question

wonky auto transmission?

I have a 2005 xlt screw. I was wondering if any one else has had any issues with the tranny not going into the gear it is placed in?
today i put it in drive and the truck went backward, i tried a couple of times with the same result. I finally had to put it into 1st to get it to go forward then each time after that all was well again.
Any suggestions?

Try kicking your truck. If that doesnt work I might suggest a dealer for that problem.

the shifter bushing has probably broken. take it to the dealer.

turned out it was just a linkage out of alignment.

hope this helps anyone else who might run into this
