03 fuel gauge problem

03 fuel gauge problem

31k miles and all of a sudden I stop for fuel, fill up and when I restart, the gauge goes to 1/4 tank. My information overhead reads out I have "503 miles" to empty.
anyone else have this problem?

I had the same problem, i just took it to the dealership and they replaced something don't recall if it was the sender or something else. Mines an 03 too

Ford has a newer style sending unit for the 03 trucks.
