Headers

I have a set of Bassani shorty headres on my truck. I am wanting to go to a dual exhaust system from the stock exhaust. What I want to know is does it make a different if I had full length headers vs. the shorty headers I have on now?

Thanks.

it will add a few extra horses but the shorties are just as good when you do the dual exhaust what i would do and have been told by 2 different exhaust shops... headers 2.25" y-pipe into a dual in 2.25" dual out 2.5" cat. converter into a dual in dual out muffler.

I haven't got my headers on yet but I am going to do about the same to mine. the only thing different i am going to do is I have a 3" cat back exhaust i am going to reuse that.

im workin to get a set of bassani headers but i have the rest of the exhaust done, i cut my factory cat off and the flange and i had a custom 2.5" dual pipes all the way back, then they each have their own catco high flow cat and then into flowmaster 40 series mufflers and then a split out the back under the bumper, o and i also have the stock y pipe which i will be keeping just to make things easier, hope this helps, btw id love to get a vortech on mine!!! that would be really nice, hows it do on your truck? did it give you the acceleration/power you thought it would?
