ok...now concentrate because this is really confusing. early this morning, i got to work and realized my running lights were on in the back. ignition and headlights and running lights were off. but the rear running lights were stuck on. the only way to shut them off was to disconnect the battery. then...i hit the left blinker when the car is off and nothing happened (normal). then i hit the right blinker and the blinker is solid. when i hit this blinker (right), the back left running light dims.
ok...after this, i realized that the running lights where actually the brake lights and when i stepped on the brake, the running lights came on.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????!?!!
i havn't touched anything electrical.
Not sure but I had a brakelight problem where they kept blowing the fuse, searched the wires with no luck, come to find out the problem was in the turn singnal switch,it was shorting. The flashers are on the same circut and thier switch is on the turn signal set up.Hope that helps.
fortunetly or unfortunetly...the problem just stopped today...so i can't check it till it happens again. im sure it will happen again.. thanks for the input. i work at a ford dealership as an intern tech and some of the techs there say that the wires melt in the connection to the headlight switch on bronco. im gonna check that out if i can figure out how to get the dash off.
