busted head bolt....any ideas...

busted head bolt....any ideas...
the truck is ain 83 f-250 300-6 4 spd....i have a head bolt that sheared off at an angle, basically flush with the block....have so far busted one EZ OUT off in the bolt....any other good ideas???

Busted bolt Big fun...
I would start spraying the bolt with penitrating oil now and find someone with a MIG welder that can weld another bolt to it. The heating action of the weld may help as well. Try using an impact wrench instead of the rachet with a pipe slipped over the handle, the impact action may loosen the rust. Good luck.
PS. I guess the la$t resort would be pulling the block and taking it to the machine shop, they'll get it out!

instead of a bolt, use a big thick nut, and weld inside it to the broken bolt. This is easier if the broken end is flush.If a welder isn't handy, then center punch it the best you can and redrill real slowly. But before retrying a new EZ out, squirt the penetrant on it first and let it sit for a few hours. Use LPS or JB80 instead WD40. Or candle wax.

see if your local machine shop or hardware store has reverse cut drill bits, every time you drill it out, you're tightening it that much more, a reverse cut bit solves the problem of tightening the bolt while you are drilling it out, and it may help loosen it in the process.
