Parking brake cable too long?

Parking brake cable too long?
One of the parking brake cables, the one that goes to my passenger rear tire is too long. The adjuster is tight on the other cable, but this one is loose. I took the tire off, and the cable is just too dang long. Could it be the wrong cable? Am I missing something? Is there anyway to adjust this? Thanks

Parking brake cable too long?
I had the same problem on a 73 F150, wouldn't get tight on the right side. I got an adjuster to take the slack out (I think it was from NAPA). It's nothing more than a J-hook that draws the cable into a metal "vee" to take some of the slack out of it. Been on the truck for years, worked great.
