Guys,
I was under the truck yesterday and noticed an oil leak from my U joint area.
I also noticed an O ring (rectangular cross section)loose at the leak area.
So anybody been down this road. Any input is always appreciated. Waiting
for my Helm CD to arrive any day now.

That plastic o-ring was talked about a month or so ago. I think the title was "what the heck is this" or something to that effect. From what I remember it is just a dust/dirt barrier and shouldn't cause a leak of fluid. Alot of people reported theirs being loose/wobbly for years with no leak. Now my interest is peaked because I'd noticed mine a few days before that post and felt good when it was over. Now I'm worried again.

One of my plastic rings, passenger side I think, has been loose and just hanging on the axle for a couple of years now. I've got no signs of leaking. But, I'm definately going to follow this thread!!
