Welcome to FTE ll81.
There are a few aftermarket units out there now that replace your stock radio. I'l thinking it was Pioneer that someone here posted pics of in their gallery. Really nice looking, the screen comes out of the dash unit and pops up. Price was about $1300.

As for if they'll be offered in future trucks, I don't see why not. You can take delivery of a truck with just about anything you want in it. The dealer usually has a third party do the install of the item then make delivery to you. That's how I had my alarm system done.
