Looking for another A-Star
Well friends, the time has come and gone. My 1989 Extended has been sold and i'm in the market for another one. I'm looking for one with no more than 150,000 miles on it and in the southern states so if you guys know where any are located let me know. I would like to find one with a good interior as well as exterior (no rust or major dents). My 1989 Extended had nearly 240,000 troublefree miles on the clock but needed more money than I wanted to put into it. The rear bumper had finally totally disentegrated and looked awful but mechanicly it was stable as ever. I will find another... it may just take a while.

I got mine at a crummy little car lot. I think I really got lucky, for the shape it was in. I try to avoid those places, but if you know how to work on these, you know what to look for. Run a carfax and try to negotiate the price down. The vans seem like they are in low demand, and everybody wants the SUVs, so the prices are much lower. When I was there, two ladies bought two jeep cherokees for 3 times the price of my van, each! It's worth a shot anyway.

yes I have seen loads in those crummy used car lots around near me in florida and most have on rust at all but a lot have disintergrated rear bumbers and toasted insides, just like mine! but she run's great tows my boat and carries my dirt bikes around with no problems and I really do not need one of those big ugley gas guzling SUV'S. I guess I am just not on of those keep up with the jonesess type of guy's.
