I picked up a '95 f150 ext cab Eddie Bauer edition mainly for utility purposes; but have since gained intrest in tricking it out a bit. Can anyone tell me what the "standard" first step would be. ( I'm not intrested in messing with the motor ) I was thinking along the lines of air intake, or dual exhaust.
is the truck a speed density or a mass air? i have an 89 with speed density and i recently put on a set of headers removed the cats and put in a dynomax welded muffler in with new wires and cold air. that seemed to give it a little more pep
If it is a 1995 truck then the truck automatically has Mass Air Flow, which is good news for you because the modifications that you do will effect the power more noticeably then they would in a speed density system.
my 87 300-6 and my dads 96 302 both have cold air intake, throttle body spacers, and cat back duals. both seem to react well to the modifications, i noticed quite a large difference in my 300 on low end. dads pickup was more in the midrange. just a few suggestions that are fairly cheap and easy to do.
