ATS Transmission

Hey all,

I just had an ATS tranny installed in my truck, I'm amazed with the improvement over stock..Its awesome to say the least. My only concern is when I put it in reverse or any forward gear the engine lugs down a bit. It is more noticable in reverse than any other gear. Today when the engine was cold, it really lugged down, probably around 100-150 rpm when put into reverse. It will usually lug down around 50-100 rpm when put in drive. Is this normal due to the new torque converter design, or should I take it in and have it looked at before it does any damange. Thanks for the help.

it is probably due to the TQ the usally put a lower stall unit in the hipo transmissions. i would still have it checked out to be sure. which level/stage did you get?
