That is true that you have to pay to play to an extent. For example, Ford knows they have faulty head gaskets but if you have a tuner then they want to decline the warranty claim knowing that it was faulty to begin with and probably not caused by the tuner. I believe that they shouldn't have to warranty something caused by an aftermarket device but they had better prove that it was the root of the failure.

Ford's warranty is very explicit about performance mods. Why would anybody,
with any intelligence at all, risk their warranty with performance mods?

Rotella-Syn only comes as 5W-40.

Rotella Dino Oil is only 15W-40

Synthetic 5W-40 will work year round and so far so good for many of us. Mobil is another high quality brand out that there, but I buy from Walmart and Rotella-Syn is available and is also CI4+ API certified (Mobil Truck & SUV was discontinued and was only CI4 (no plus) and their new "Turbo-Diesel" lable is not yet available... but will now be CI4+ rated (if you can find).

Rotella-Syn comes in gallon jugs and you will need 4 jugs (16 qts), but you will have 1 - 1.5 quarts left over.

Good luck,

Jeff
