I have a F350 Diesel truck and am having trouble with my trailer lights. The stop & signal lights work fine but no tail/marker lights. There is no power to the pluggin for the trailer. I looked in the book and noticed a trailer marker lamp relay that may be the problem but have no idea where it is located. I don't know if the other problems I'm having are related but I'll mention them which may help. I have lost the cruise control and the glow plugs no longer come on. Any help with the before mention problems would be very helpful.
Mine is under the hood, behind the air cleaner, in front of the brake booster. It is a plastic bracket that stands up as high as the airfilter box and it holds the relays underneath itself to keep them upright, dry and clean. The relays often fall out of this bracket and they can get filled with water or dirt and have problems. It is a good idea to keep them upright so they don't hold water.
Plug-in trailer lights lead for stock wiring harness
I always use this thing. You can get it at any trailer supply store or u-haul. You buy the particular one for your vehicle and then climb under the back, unhook the wiring harness connector at the back of the truck and plug this thing into the middle of what you unhooked. It's fast, waterproof and they work great. It will give you a straight 4-hole blade plug for your trailer lights. If you don't need it often you can even take it back out in one minute, hook the connector back together and keep it in the truck under the seat. They cost about $15.
