can't wait
Can't wait till the summer to dig my 78 out of my dad's back yard and do some work to it. It is a 78 f-150 4x4. I put a 1990 5.0 with a rebuilt c-6 trans, headers and dual exaust flowmasters. I have not drove it on the road for about 3 years, but this year i might dig it out and use it. The body is pretty good shape 3 years ago I put new box sides on it and painted it. I would like to have it going for moose hunting season. My plans are to take out the 302 and sell it and maybe put a good running 351w or a original 351m with a 4 speed, the 302 just dosent have the torque the 351m did and i also don't really like the auto for pulling. One guy down the road from me has a 78 f-250 4x4 it has a 351m with a 4 speed. The body is shot, If he would let it go for a good price I just may put my body on that chassis. Can't wait.

If you are mecanicly enclined you can instale cleveland heads on a 302 they just bolt up and they will increase the breathing of the engine and the horse power.
I rebuilt a 302 that way with a few more mods and got 300 horse power out of that engine

I wouldnt mind knowing more about the machining that you are talking about becouse the heads that were sold to me came frome a machine shop anh he didnt tell me about extra machining.
