rear brake lines

rear brake lines
Hey guys I have a 1991 ford explorer XLT with a left rear leaking brake line. I want to replace both left and right rear metal lines but can not find prebent, fitted lines anywhere. I have called every auto store around me and everyone only has universal lines that need to be cut bent and fitted yourself. Does any one klnow of a place where I can get direct replacement lines? The explorer is 4 door stock with the manual four wheel drive and rear anti-lock brake system. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

good luck finding prebent lines...and if you do,hand over your wallet and put your hands up... the folks sellin to you will have masks and guns...lol!...if you have a tube flaring kit,some time and patience, it is a lot cheaper to bend them up yourself...I have done this on several vehicles....it is time consuming and a messy job...but I would rather take the time than give up my life savings...

Yoy should not need a flaring kit. Just buy a straight line, and bend it carefully making sure you don't pinch it anywhere. Also, if you haven't run the master cylinder dry, you may be able to bleed it where the new line attached to the wheel cylinder. If you did get air into the system, then you will have to bleed the wheel cylinders as well. You might want to start soaking the bleeder valves with some PBlaster or wd40.
