clunk when taking off

clunk when taking off
i have a 78 f-250 w/4 speed, if i take off hard/fast there is a little clunk which feels like it under your feet. it only does it 1st and 2nd gear as far as i can tell. if anyone know if what this is or if it serious please let me know

i remember when i had my 85 lifted with lots of blocks in the back, if i took off hard, it made a clunking sound under cab, when i gpt rear springs it went away, and now with stock springs and lift blocks, still no clunk, my question is, is your truck stock? lifteD?

clunk when taking off
It could be wear in the slip joint bushing in the tail shaft. Happened to my C6.
