'03 6.0 Ex won't start

Question '03 6.0 Ex won't start

I have a 03 6.0 Excursion, that won't start up. I just installed a magnaflow 4" turbo back exhaust(no cat); a superchips 1805 (set on tow safe); and a airaid intake.

I read the codes with the SCMT and 2 came back:

1. P0603 - Internal ctrl mod kam error

2. P1260 - Theft detected: vehicle immobilized

I don't know what the first one means but i'm thinking the second one won't let it start and if i just erase the codes it will start?

Any explanation of the codes and suggestions to remedy the problem would be appreciated.

P0603:
Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected.
--Possible Causes--
- Ignition System.
- Fuel injectors.
- Fue

Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected.
--Possible Causes--
- Ignition System.
- Fuel injectors.
- Fuel Pressure.
- Evaporative System.
- Canister Purge.
- Base Engine.
- Running out of fuel.
Note: Running out of fuel may turn on the MIL and possibly store a Continuous Misfire DTC.
Equivalent to OBDII DTC P0306

P1260:
Engine disabled by PATS

THEFT Detected, Vehicle Immobilized.
Suspect PATS module.
Suspect circuit fault between PCM and PATS.
This DTC may be caused by :
Suspect PCM.

I just done a little reading and the P0603 is because of the tuner, so thats not the cause.
I'm gonna clear the DTC's and see if it corrects the problem.

tmcolegr, are you sure about the P0603? elsewhere on the forum people are refering to the Keep Alive Memory.

After I cleared the code, the engine fired right up.
For the P0603 there seems to be a discrepancy between diablo and superchips.

What is a PATS, could someone just have tried to get into my truck and so it immobilized the engine? I'd like to think it was doing its job and not just a random error.

It did it again, nearly leaving me stranded; but after waiting awhile it finally fired up.
I checked the DTCs again and have 2 new ones:

P0269 - Cylinder 3 contribution/balance fault
P1000 - Monitor checks not complete: more driving required

The P1000 is because i recently cleared the DTCs, but the P0269 is worrying me. I restored the stock flash, will i need to install the catalytic converter for warranty?

any help appreciated
