Ok I got a lift kit sitting in my back room waiting for me to install but I need some good weather and most of all I need the torque specs for the front suspension. The kit I got tells me to tighten all bolts to factory specs but it doesn't list the specs. I am putting on a 4 inch Dick Cepek lift with a drop trac bar bracket and drop pitman arm so I need all the specs. I looked up different lift manufactures instructions and I found conflicts with torque specs so I am trying to find the factory specs. The other problem I am having is that my truck is an '04 F250 and the repair manuals I found only go up to '02 but they do have the specs I am looking for but I am undecided if I should buy a manual that is not for my year truck. I imagine that the specs are the same but I don't know for sure, does anyone know if they are the same? If so then I will buy an '02 manual so I have one til an '04 manual comes out.
Thanks
cableguy, go to www.helminc.com and you can get the same manual for your truck the dealer uses to repair it. It may be pricey but owrth it if you work on your rig yourself. They have manuals for my 2006 f-250 PSD, at the sum of 190.00 dollars, so they should have one for your truck. LindenBruce
Thanks LindenBruce, I looked on the site and they are a little pricey. I guess what I am really hoping is that the 02 specs are the same as my 04 so I can get the Haynes manual that is much cheaper. Does anyone know if the specs are the same?
Mattd17 I like your way of thinking and that is usually the way I do it but sometimes my calculated elbow is set too high and causes me even more grief.
Keep an eye on ebay for manuals, I picked up a Ford workshop manual for About $100. Saw another new set go for $65 a couple weeks ago. Well woth it for about the price of an hours labor!
