Explorer Pro Comp Leaf Springs

I'm looking to get rear lift springs for my project (94 f150). I'm wanting 6 in. springs and have been looking at Explorer pro comps. Any of you have any experience with them? Good bad or otherwise. I've only used skyjacker before and was wondering about the quality of the explorers.

I have them on my truck and they seem to do alright. Haven't had any problems with them.

I'm running a set of their 4" rear springs up front in my truck and I'm loving 'em so far. They are riding great. My truck cruising at 65mph with 36" TSLs rides just as smooth as my '03 F150 Super Crew.

Cool. I ended up with 10 inches of lift on the front so I'm gonna get the six inch springs and use 4 inch blocks or what ever it needs to sit right.

Have you shackle flipped in the rear? If not, you might consider that. It will help with your ride, as well as keep you from having blocks which contribute to axlewrap/U-joint failure. You could get some nice Sky brackets for it too if you wanted.

No I haven't done the flip. What are the pro's and cons of it and how much lift would I gain?
Thanks

Con's are simply that you do not want to haul heavy loads in/on the rear with the shackle flipped. You can overbuild your rear shackles with 1/4" steel and still be able to haul a bit, but for a tow rig you would not want to do this. But with 10" of lift, I think this seems to be more of a play toy.

Pro's are a better ride as well as the increase in ride height. You flip the shackle hanger, then move it forward a bit so that your shackle angle is correct. Look in Ivanribic's gallery or just search "Shackle Flip" for more information on it. You want a specific angle on it so that you don't bottom out the shackle, or so that when you droop you don't cause the angle to revert back up again. Really, its just an effective way to lift your toy on the cheap with an improvement in ride quality.

I run Pro-Comp 6" rear leafs but I have noiced a little bit
more wheel hop/axle wrap. I'm going to be getting
ladder bars though. They don't seem to sag much when
loaded up and they flex very well.

I like em!

Sounds good. I'll be using ladder bars too so axle wrap shouldn't be a problem.
