Battery help please.
Guys I hope that this is alright to post here but I have a 77 RanXLT my battery is boiling over and spitin out when it warms up. I had it tested the other day and it was getting to much juice. seems the alternator is good, I replaced the starter cylanoid, and electronic regulator and still it is boiling and over working the battery. Any idea as to what I should do to solve this? thanks.

Check the voltage at the battery with the truck running. It shouldn't be over 14.5v. If so, then you may have gotten a faulty regulator. If the voltage is between 13 and 14.5V, then the battery may have an internal short.

My 78 Dodge has a few wiring problems so I've found out about wiring. Replace the voltage regulator if its external. Check that both wires to VR are not reversed. Then check the wireing for fire damage or overheated wire insulation. That fixed my ramcharger right up.
