I just got done installing the wicked wheel on my 2002 Powerstroke and everything seemed to be great, even the back manifold clamp came off without to much of a fight. But when we tried to put the clamp back on is when the trouble started.
I thought I had it on right and finished putting everything back together and when i started the truck I didnt see any exhaust leaks or oil. I thought I was amazing, then i drove it. I could hear a major exhaust leak at my feet and I couldn't build any boost pressure. What have I done wrong? I have had the clamp on and off now three times and every time the same result. It has got a lot better than the first time but I still have a leak at that clamp.
I need help, any suggestions, I don't want to have to take it to Ford.
I had trouble lining up the back up-pipe when I put mine on too. I was lucky and noticed that it did not look quite right and had to man-handle the up-pipe to get it to pop in its seat. After that, the clamp went on nice. I think that you just don't have it properly lined up. Keep at it and you will get it. It's not easy laying on top of the engine and trying to get it in there. You may have to loosen up the turbo pedistal bolts to get a proper alignment, just be warned that you could also damage the o-rings doing this.
Get a small mirror to look behind the turbo and you may be able to see where the problem is. Take the clamp off totally to see better.
There is an alignment dowel on the exhaust collector that fits in a hole on the turbo's exhaust inlet. If the pin isn't in the hole the collector will never seat.
Is the dowel on the top or bottom of the turbo? Also, I was thinking of trying to use a pry bar to gently push the manifold pipe to the turbo and then clamp, is there any danger in doing that? Also, I am having a real problem getting the clamp to fit around the connection with the akward position it is in is there any trick to doing so? I am afraid every time I take the clamp of i won't be able to get it back on.
Thanks a lot

Don't do that. Everything must be in place before you tighten it all down. To try and force something into place while the other end is tight will just put unnecessary strain on the components and they will crack later on.
the dowel is at the 12 o clock position if you are looking at it from the front of the engine, and the protruding part of the dowel is actually on the collector where the up pipes join in the collector, and the recessed part is on the turbo's housing, and they fit together and the clamp will seat perfectly. instead of removing the clamp (hard to get off back there) i just pushed it up over the flange and let it hang around the collector. this way i could feel if the two mounting flanges were mounted corrrectly. the best way to fix this is loosen the two bolts on the centersection of the turbo. this loosening of the squished o-rings will most likely cause a leak at the joint when you re tighten them, so its best to do it right the first time and pull the turbo again so you can get the new o-rings in there, align the dowel on the turbo, tighten the clamp on the pipe, and finally tighten the turbo down where it sits.
