Muffler out straight pipe in. Thats it. Cheap too it should cost you about $15.00 from a muffler shop to have them make the pipe. Just take the muffler with you in case there is a slight bend to it.

Yeah no kiddin', run straight pipes, exhaust to back. If you can weld, it will cost you next to nothing for the tubing/pipe and for the shop to bend it. And baby that will be loud when you are done.

do what you want but that'll sound like crap! it'll sound like a lawnmower on crack! lol. drill a couple holes in your muffler, it won't be as crappy sounding. maybe a glass pack...their cheap.

It MIGHT sound like crap. It has to sound better than those Hondas with the fart cans on the back.

A 3.0 or a 4.0 V6 actually sounds like one mean SOB with an exhaust. I've got a few buddies who got hi-flow cats put on, and then straight piped it from there. If it had a deeper pitch it would sound like cummins diesel.

As for the 4 banger, I'll get back with you on that! I've got a 91, and when I swap engines in March (already warned the guys, beer will be prepared!) I'm going to eliminate the muffler, and just run it on out the back through the tailpipe. It cant sound THAT bad. If people want to talk bad bout it, Ill just run on home and grab the ol f-150 with the 351. Shes got straight pipes, no cats
