Temp question

i recently got the bully dog TriDog and the outlook, Intake and exaust, my pre-trubo is around 500-700 degrees, and the PostTurbo is around 1650-1700, is the 1700 normal or is the probe in the wrong place on the manifold ? And the exactly is the Post Turbo temp coming from ?

one or all t of these conditions may apply:

1: 500-700 pre turbo about in the ball park depending on driving conditions.
2:1650-1700 post turbo is too high, either there is something wrong with the sending unit in the manifold or something wrong with the unit.
3:There is a troll in the mist.

probleems should be fully explained including make, model and year of truck along with build date. along with any other factors including aftermarket parts, fuel additives, fuel grade, towing what and how much, current weather conditions including temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and wind vectors for local conditions.

So let me get this straight... You drilled two holes in your exhaust system???

In the exhaust manifold - okay - that's where it goes...

Then you drilled in to the post turbo section too????

under no circumstances should post-turbo EGT's be higher than pre-turbo. the pre or post-turbo should never see 1600*, 1300* is pushing the limits for pre-turbo. you shouldn't see over 1050* for post turbo either. any more than that sustained for a period of time such as pulling a hill, you are hurting your engine. my guess is the post turbo thermocouple is not good, because 500-700* sounds good for cruising temps pre-turbo.
