Called the dealer and parts stores around here just in case and I ask: 1.) what thermostat to replace in my '97 ? 2) Ask if they had 195F Slant or Motorcraft thermostat stainless steel . Was told that the only one listed for mine was the Motorcraft 197d and they went on to urge that is what I should use. No one could tell me if it was stainless steel ???? Acted like I was a blond for pete's sake.
