greetings,
I am new at this forum thing so i hope things go well and look foward to hearing from people.
I have a 1994 ford explorer 2 wheel drive 2 door. it's my baby i will be posting picks soon hopefully. I have had it since 2002 i just always liked the way the 94 looked. bad thing is hard finding aftermarket parts. but anyway for the past couple of months i have been hearing this knocking sound coming from the passenger side front wheel. it would only happen when hittting manholes and any other medium sized bumps in the road. i thought it was the ball joints but i took it in to get replaced and it still makes the sound not as bad but it is still there. even the mechanic didn't know what it was. does anyone have any ideas?
I'm not too familiar with the 1994's, but look at control arm bushings,or radius arm bushings (I had that problem on my 90 f150 4x4)... also look at caliper mount brkts (my dads caddy lost bolt and caused all sorts of racket...) and double check all the front end parts ...hopefully it helps... mike
