Valve Cover Prep??
Ok, I got a valve cover off of a used motor that I want to paint and put on my truck. What kind of prep work do I need to do?? I am in the process of sanding all of the paint off, its almost done, and I plan on taking and cleanin the inside up with a parts wash, but is there anythnig else i need to do? And what kinda of paint should I use?? I was thinkin about cleanin it up and using some Metalcast, but would it hold up to the heat underhood?

You really don't need any kind of high heat paint for valve covers, but you do need something that is oil and gas resistant. If you sand it down to the metal then you should use an eitching primer (primer for bare metal). What ever color you chose, I would go by a hobby shop and pick up a can fuel proof clear coat, that stuff will stand up to almost anything. And if you do get the clear coat, you can stick any decal you want on it and clear over it.
