rough idle
i have an 03 6.0 and i live down here in miami, when is hot wich is almost every day my truck starts up good , but when it gets a litle cold and i start it up in the morning it sounds realy rough and if you give it some gas it sounds like if its missing an injector or something .after a while when the engine gets hot every thing is back to normal .also during regular driving sometimes it idles a little rough.please if there is somebody out there that had this problem or that can help me ill realy appreciate it .

you'll have that when it gets colder.. i live in Northern VA.. and it sometimes gets down to the teens.. which isn't even cold compared to some parts of Canada.. but i have an 03 6.0 and when its below 35... and its been sittin for a while.. it runs on about 5 cylinders til for about 20 secs.. runs real ruff. then once it warms up.. all is good.. its just a diesel thing.. rough idle onces its warm.. not sure about that one.. but the rough idle at start up is normal..

before i got this 03 ford i had a dodge and even cold it started fine but i guess i not used to this engine yet . my dad has a 7.3 powerstroke and when its cold its not that rough.thank you for sharing your experience .

yea.. my dad has a 98 chevy suburban thats diesel.. the 6.5L turbo diesel.. and its not ruff either.. its loud as crap when you start it tho.. but it doesn't idle very ruff.. it does a lil bit.. but not like the 6.0
