Ride height problem?

Ride height problem?
My 2003 Navi went into the dealership for a sagging suspension problem. They replace the left front spring and solenoid. However, after getting it home I notice that the left side is about 0.5 to 0.75inches lower than the right side. Is this likely to be a height sensor issue?

when you mess with the suspension should'nt you work on both sides? seems like if you've got a new spring on the left and an old one on the right you're bound to run into problems (though i'd think the left would be higher). either way the stealership shouldn't of let you leave with a crooked truck. bring her back.

Not sure about the 03, but I have an 01 and it is supposed to do that. That is assuming that the "left side" is the drivers side. To be more specific. When I shut off my truck and exit the drivers side lowers approx. an inch for ease of entry/exit. It came from the factory with that program. Take a look in your owners manual and see if it says anything like that.

Hmm you may be right I will see if I can find any reference to this in the owners manual.
However, mine drops at all four corners by about an inch when I turn the engine off. Yes when I said the left side I did mean the drivers side

I have to agree with the idea that you should work on both sides. I have never heard of any place replcing one spring or shock. The new spring will have less give to it which will make the side with the old spring lower.

Not with air ride. We dont have actual springs. They are air bags that raise and lower the truck. The compressor will keep filling the bag until it trips the sensor. If the problem is not what I said, then I would look at a sensor adjustment. Have not tore into the suspension on my navi yet, but assume it is similar to the other lincoln products. With the truck being so new I am not a bit surprised that they only replaced the one. It was not broken due to wear, but due to a malfunction. I do agree that the strut on the one not replaced will wear out earlier and need replacing.

Checked the ride height again this weekend on level garage surface and it is 34 inches on the passenger side and 33.5 inches on the drivers side. It is quite noticeably lower when viewed from the rear. Truck is running and air suspension is on for these measurements
Before I take it back again to the dealer can someone confirm the factory spec ride height measured from the ground to the inside of the fender arch.

Ford does not measure ride height this way. They do it by measuing from the lower control arm mounting bolt on the frame to the ground, then measuring from the lower ball joint mounting surface to the ground, the subtracting the 2 measurements. There is an allowable side to side difference- you just can't get it perfect.
