A/C Fan Problems
The fan will only blow in high, everything else works fine. Any ideas? I guess I should add that it is a 01 F-150.

The blower fan resistor has gone bad. It's a $15 - $20 part that's located under the dashboard on the passenger side. It's to the left of the fan motor and has a 4-wire wiring harness running to it. It's held in place by two bolts and is about 1 x 2.5 inches in size. It's mounting plate is brown in color, looks like fiberboard. When you remove it, it looks like a plate that has four silver coil springs attached. One or more of the springs has broken or corroded.
The resistor is a bit tough to see. I used a small mirror to find it in it's location behind the heater plenum. The plenum is that large black plastic mass underneath the dash.

Yup, about $20 and if you buy it at the dealer, as them to print out the parts diagram and you will be able to see where is it very easily. It takes all of five minutes to change. They get rusty and just quit.
