The O/D button in my 97 expy blinks once when I start it but when I push the button in to turn O/D off, the light does not turn on and the tranny still goes into O/D. I have replaced the button and it didn't fix the problem. I was wondering if there is a plug that might have corroted on the tranny, or something I'm just not thinking of. I looked for a fuse but I don't think thats my problem since the light blinks once when I start it, which tells me that it is getting power. Any help at all would be great!

The output of the switch goes into a harness to connector C158, located under the hood near the master cylinder. 40-pin plug.
From there, it goes via a harness directly to the PCM connector.
You can try unhooking the battery, then inspecting the pins of these connectors for corrosion, pushed, or bent pins, etc.
Personally, I'd run the KOER test to verify if the signal is getting to the computer from the switch before tearing anything apart. This assumes you have a scanner capable of running the KOER test.
