Trailer Brakes

what would i need to purchase to add brakes to a 20'+ old boat trailer i'm planning on converting into a flat bed? i have the controlle in my truck, but what do i need to do to the trailer? i know, drums, brake assemblies, but what else? how hard is it to add brakes, and would i be better off buying a new trailer with brakes already on it.

What running gear is on the trailer ?

I am sure a set of Kelsey brakes would install okay.

Yes, the axles/hubs , that's where the electric brakes will attach to.

yeah, not totally sure on the axle/hub cinfiguration. the trailer belongs to a 21' 1979 tri-hull boat with a 175HP V-6 on it, so its gotta be pretty hefty. i'll ask my dad at some point today if he knows...
