'01 Excursion, How to remove stock CD Changer?
Hi All,
My stock CD changer fried so I bought a replacement unit on ebay.
How do I get the old one out to get the new one in?
Do I need to remove the dash and how would I do that if necessary?
It isn't readily apparent?
I don't see any 7mm bolts near the cluster like said for the '04 Expedition in a previous post.
My unit has 4 DIN tool holes in the front, but I assume that removes the face plate, not the entire unit.
The new unit does not have those 4 holes.
(I hope it can still be installed?)

Old unit is removed with a special tool. Wal mart carries it. You can bend a coat hanger in "U" and put it in the holes. After it is in the holes press the "U" out toward the windows. Passenger and drivers. The new one bolts in. I am not sure if it will fit.
