Timing Question?

I have a 1996 F-150 with a 302cid. I had a Ford dealer change the Hall Effect sensor in the distributor. WHen they retimed the truck it was so far off I could not go above 55 MPH on the highway. I set the timing to 0 degrees with the SPOUT connector removed. Does anyone know what it should be set at? I am obviously reluctant to trust a dealer again. Not that I ever did in the first place.

Stock is 8 DBTDC. Most peeps bump it up to 10-12 degrees

Right, 10° DBTDC with the SPOUT connector removed.
