Braking/Gears
I wondering if the larger brakes on a Dana 70 with dual rear wheels would help braking VS a dana 60 with dual rear wheels? I have both rear ends so thats not a problem, but this truck is a 4x4 high boy and the dana 60 has 4.10 gears and the dana 70 has 3.73 gears. The front end i have is a dana 4x4 with 4.10 gears and i was just wondering if it is worth it for the braking to put the dana 70 in with 3.73's and buy new 3.73 for the front? By the way the front axel is not in the truck yet and the dana 60 is in but not set up for duals yet if i decide to go that way. I have changed grears before myself so thats not a big problem. This truck is a mason dump with a 390 and NP 435, I use it for hauling firewood mostly and some mulch or stone now and then. Not really used for towing. Let me know what you think is best.
