Yes, I would like to know that measurement from the head to the outside of the intake. I am also going to put a holly 390 in and would like to know about the upper clearence too. Did you have to use a spacer between intake and carb? Just thinking about doing this needs overhall and I get19 mpg avg. I don't have callif emisions, but do have smog pump. Thanks for your reply and I'll appreciate any information that you may offer.

Ok, I'll check. I have an Edelbrock 500 and yes I used a spacer to clear the throttle linkage from hitting the intake. I'll post as soon as I have the measurement.
