5.4 Engine Question

First off let me say thanks to everyone here I have been a lurker for a while but now I have a problem and need some help!

I have a 2001 Expy w/5.4 and when I first start it eveything is fine, all the gauges reading ok etc. After a few seconds of running the oil pressure gauge will drop and the oil temp light will come on. A few seconds later the light goest off gauge goes up. This cycles for about 4 times and then eveything is ok. For the rest of the day everything is fine untill the next morning and then the same cycling. I have asked a friend with a shop and he thinks the oil sensor could be going bad.

I thought I post the question and see if anyone knew whata might be going on.

Thanks
