Hi all. Just found the site today. I'm form eastern Ky. I just aquried an '87 F-150 4x4 with 137,000 miles. I've had my eye on the truck for 3 years now. It belonged to my father-in-law. It has sat for the past 3 years and what do you know. The first time I drive it, sure enough a brake line brakes. I'm going to change to oil before I drive again, any ideas what else shuld be checked before heavy use.

With that rig sitting for 3 years you'll want to give it a complete once over. Change all the fluids & filters. Check brakes and lines. After you run it hard once put a piece of cardboard under it & see where it leaks from. That outta get you started...

BTW Welcome to FTE, you're going to like it here.
